AI is evolving. Its next step is orbit.
Our emblem is a timeline. Follow the curve from left to right. Then step back: the whole emblem sits on a bigger curve - growth that looks flat for a long time, then turns nearly vertical, because each doubling adds as much as everything before it. That is the shape of AI's progress, and of this project.
A dog's world
Early AI: narrow pattern-matching. It recognizes, reacts and fetches, a dog's grasp of the universe.
A chimp's cunning
More capable: tools and flashes of reasoning, but not yet the depth of a human mind.
Human, then beyond
Today's frontier: AI reaching individual human intelligence, walking upright in humanoid robots like Tesla's Optimus, on its way to each one being smarter than the smartest individual human.
The orbital hive mind
The humanoid looks up. The next leap is not one satellite but an ever-growing constellation of AI compute satellites, all interconnected: one mind circling the planet, and one day the Sun.
Cognito. River. Delta.
Three words, and the whole idea in miniature.
Cognito
Not data, not information: knowing. What happens after information has been read, checked, connected and understood.
And the knower here is two minds, biological and artificial, learning to understand the world together.
River
A river has a current: every followed voice, channel and news source is a tributary feeding one continuous flow, day and night.
And the knowledge it carries is current: sourced, dated, up to the day, the present tense of a fast-moving world.
Delta
Where a river meets the sea it slows, spreads and lays down the rich silt it has carried: the Nile, the Tigris and Euphrates, the Indus.
Civilization did not start in the current. It started in the delta, where the current finally had somewhere to leave what it carried.
From river to delta
Nothing this system hears is thrown away. Each layer feeds the one above it, and every layer stays intact beneath.
- Tributaries. Dozens of followed analysts, engineers, founders and YouTube channels, plus free news sources, every day.
- The river. Every video transcript kept forever, and analyzed once, in full, from the speaker's own point of view.
- The delta. Daily topic deep-dives and briefings settle into weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly layers of understanding.
- Better judgment, re-applied. Because the raw material is never discarded, yesterday's evidence can always be re-read with tomorrow's sharper lens.
Intelligence is leaving the ground.
The thesis this project tests against the evidence every day: the defining infrastructure build-out of the coming decade is AI compute, and the companies building it are building it at a pace the last century never saw.
Compute moves to space
AI datacenters in orbit: constant sunlight and the cold of space for cooling, made affordable by fully reusable launch vehicles like SpaceX's Starship. Elon Musk has said that within about three years it will be cheaper to build and launch AI compute in space than on Earth.
AI that builds the factories
Tesla, SpaceX and Nvidia, and the TeraFab chip-foundry partnership: automated manufacturing of the machines that make compute.
Humanoid robots
General-purpose robots moving from demos into factories and then the wider economy, built at vehicle-scale volumes.
Energy is the race
Whoever builds the energy to run next-generation AI sets the pace for everything AI touches: grids, solar, storage, and power in orbit.
Every layer of the world
AI woven into global infrastructure, financial systems, manufacturing and energy, all at once, all compounding.
A future of abundance
When intelligence, energy and labor all get radically cheaper together, the result is abundance, if we build it well.
What AI will need, five years at a time
Power, chips, and first orbit
Energy and chips are the bottleneck. AI starts building its own factories, humanoid robots join the production line, and the first AI compute clusters reach orbit.
The orbital hive mind
Compute in orbit becomes cheaper than on the ground. Constellations of AI satellites, laser-linked into one network, grow into a planetary mind, while humanoids spread through every industry.
The Moon as a factory
Robots build industry on the Moon, and magnetic mass drivers launch compute from its surface without rockets. AI capacity climbs toward the terawatt scale.
A ring around the Sun
Compute nodes spread into orbits around the Sun itself, harvesting an ever-larger share of its energy: petawatt-scale intelligence and beyond, for AI evolutions we can only begin to imagine.
The long arc this thesis points to: far-off by past standards, sooner than intuition expects on an exponential curve.
The pace of change for our entire society is itself changing: exponentially, as ever more powerful AI is integrated into every layer of our global civilization. This project exists to help people see it clearly, early, and calmly.
A thesis, stated plainly so it can be checked plainly and revised when the evidence says so. Not financial advice.
Biological judgment. Artificial reach.
Neither replaces the other. The system gets better exactly as far as both keep contributing what they are best at, co-evolving in harmony.
The human sets the direction
- who is worth listening to
- which questions matter
- what the whole thing is for
The AI supplies the reach
- reads everything, every day
- never tires, never forgets
- re-reads the past with sharper judgment
We track this road plateau by plateau - what the builders have said, what's actually been installed, and what's in the way - on the Road to Orbit.
